How does Sustainable Swimwear Help?

I know you might be asking yourself- how does buying sustainable swimwear actually make a difference? Let’s talk about it!

1. All of our suits are made to order. Why does this matter? When you have products stocked up in bulk and sitting around not being used they often end up in landfills because well… no one bought them. So all of the energy and emissions to produce those products got put out into the environment for nothing. Making our swimsuits to order helps eliminate the issue of overproduction. 
   
   
2. Now let’s talk about the types of materials used to make our suits. We use recycled polyester in all of our suits and scrunchies! Recycled polyester takes approximately 53% less energy to produce and puts out 55% less carbon emissions! Over HALF the amount it would take producing new fabric.               
   
   
3. This may seem obvious but using recycled fabric also makes a huge difference by simply taking post consumer waste and repurposing it into something functional instead of having more pollution inevitably end up in our oceans.
